Ronnie Got Lucky
Haven't had a good laugh for quite some time now, and this definitely did!
I bump onto this while visiting Kee Aun's blog, and truly no regrets..
As you can see in the poster, it is actually an initiative by Window's IE8 and the production are totally local. It was done by this director by the name of Liew Seng Tat who did the video Halal for the 15 Malaysia series of short film.
So, this Ronnie thing is actually an interactive short film which revolves around this guy named Ronnie in his search of being lucky. It was shot in a first person point of view, so expect like as if you are playing a RPG game sort of thing. Then at the end of each video, you will be ask to choose a path, which will lead you to another video.
To know what happened, just go to http://www.ronniegotlucky.com.my/
But the problem is that I've been a fan of Google Chrome and I don't really like IE which I felt a little but laggy and slow. So, just a *spoiler*, at the end of the film, you will be asked to install IE8 of course, since you can only view the ending using the IE8 browser. But the thing is that current windows 7 is already installed with a copy of IE8, so i refreshed the page but don't know why it keep directing me to to the page meant for mobile web. Sigh, so end up I need to view the video all over again on my work laptop, and to download the IE8 since my laptop has only IE7.
Well, I love the ending. It is the most hilarious thing I ever seen in the past couple of months...lol.
Enjoy.
I'm not going to disclose much as this will decrease the suspense....hehe
Btw, you will be able to access this page after the finale ending.
