1. It is all about quota and not merit
In Malaysia, the people are not treated equal. In the education system, there are a certain quota that are allocated to a certain race. If Race A get better results than Race B, Race B will still get a place in scholarship or in the local public university. Reason? Because to fill the quota. Because it was claimed that if the people from the race does not fill in enough places in the universities, they will be lack behind and not progressive in their own home land.
2. People doesn't queue up
Whether it's the train station, bus stops, shops - if there is no black and white rules imposed, or authorities present - people will not queue up.
3. Throw rubbish everywhere.
I guess Malaysian doesn't have the concept of treating the country like your own home. Many times you will observe people just wind down their car window and throw off their rubbish onto the road. Well, I don't know what is going on with their mind. Probably they want their car to be clean. Or just plain lazy to keep the rubbish first and then throw it into a proper rubbish bin.
4.Inconsiderate drivers.
People are selfish and kiasu. Just like the Singaporeans.
5. Cars are so expensive.
Imagine Toyota Prius are sold around RM 40,000 in japan. But here, I can only afford a Proton Saga 1.3 Manual.
6. Customer service sucks.
In restaurant and many shopping complexes, the shops are tended by foreigners and they give you really bad service. This certainly does not reflect the true Malaysia.
7. Roads are bumpy like being bombed.
So many potholes. One riding a bike can die if go thru the potholes.
